The Indiana Tech Board of Trustees has selected Karl Einolf to serve as the next president of the university. He will be the ninth president in the school’s 86-year history, succeeding Arthur Snyder, who is retiring next June. Einolf will begin his duties as president of Indiana Tech on July 1. He comes to Indiana Tech from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland, where he currently serves as dean of the Richard J. Bolte, Sr. School of Business. During his tenure there. Einolf also served as acting president of the university from February to June 2016. He first joined Mount St. Mary’s in 1998 as an assistant professor of business. Since that time, he has served as an associate professor (2004-2010) and professor (2010-present); director of the university’s honors program (2003-2009); director of the Florence study abroad program (2009-2010); and director of the BB&T Center for the Study of the Moral Foundations of Capitalism (2010-2012). Prior to his work at Mount St. Mary’s, Einolf was an instructor and Warren-York Fellow at Lehigh University, and held management positions in marketing and finance with the Sprint Corporation. He earned his B.S. in Mathematics/Economics from The Pennsylvania State University, his M.S. in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University, and his Ph.D. in Economics from Lehigh University.
