Haut Named CEO of Eskenazi Health Centers

She most recently served as interim CEO. Previously Haut was chief physician executive of Eskenazi Health Center Pecar, medical director of Eskenazi Health Population Health and an associate professor of clinical pediatrics at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Board certified in pediatrics, Haut contributes more than 25 years of clinical experience to Eskenazi Health. Previously serving as staff pediatrician, pediatric clinic coordinator and medical director of the Infant Welfare Society in Chicago, she was hired as chief physician executive of Eskenazi Health Center Pecar in 2002 to open a new health center aimed at serving a growing Latino population in northwest Indianapolis. Under Haut’s leadership, Eskenazi Health Center Pecar attained NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home Level 3 status in 2012 and served as a pilot site for embedded mental health services, medical legal partnerships, the Crooked Creek Food Pantry and case conferences and telephone visits with patients.
In 2015, she was appointed the first ever medical director of Eskenazi Health Population Health. In this role, Haut provides physician leadership centered on the health care management model in health system population. In addition, she holds positions within various committees and professional societies including the Eskenazi Health Vaccination Task Force; the Eskenazi Health Physician Advisory Committee; as IUSM dean appointee for the Eskenazi Medical Group board of directors and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Haut earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Texas Health Science Center. She then completed both a residency and fellowship in pediatrics at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. In 1997, Haut earned a Masters of Public Health degree at University of Illinois School of Public Health where she was awarded MCH traineeship.
