A national travel site that focuses on quality-of-place is highlighting the state's largest city. Livability.com has placed Indianapolis on its top 10 list of the best downtowns. In addition to income, investment, growth and retail factors, the site also considered interviews with residents and travel expert opinions. Livability highlighted anticipated residential growth, as well as attractions like the cultural trail, Central Canal, Georgia Street and the 500 Festival Mini Marathon.

The publication says more than 50 new projects totaling $3 billion in investment are expected by 2017.

It also spotlights the Wholesale District and Mass Ave.
