INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 11, 2015) – Downtown Indy has named Charrie Palmes Buskirk as its new business development director. Palmes Buskirk will manage the resource development efforts and strategy for expanding Downtown Indy's revenue base through its annual operating campaign and other opportunities. She will also manage grant requests and reporting.
Palmes Buskirk previously served as director of development & engagement for Second Helpings, public health administrator of Women's Health for the Indiana State Department of Health and grants director for Wishard Health Services.
She is a Purdue University graduate and also earned a master of public health from Indiana University School of Medicine.
Palmes Buskirk and her three sons reside in Greenwood.
Additionally, MacKenzie Church has been promoted to Downtown Indy's events manager. Church previously served as the Georgia Street events coordinator for more than a year. She will now help manage and execute events on Georgia Street and the Canal Walk.
Church is an IUPUI graduate and lives in Greenwood with her two children.
