The Downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District has hired Adam Trinkel as events and marketing manager. He will lead and coordinate upcoming projects and events such as a Downtown Evansville brand development process, website development and the annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration on the Ohio River.

A graduate of USI, Trinkel has held numerous positions in larger foundations and nonprofits in the Evansville area. Most recently he served as major gifts coordinator for the St. Vincent Evansville Foundation. Trinkel held similar positions at the University of Southern Indiana Foundation and the Arc of Evansville.

In this role he will oversee marketing efforts using traditional and social media tools, branding and managing the creation and protection of the Downtown Evansville brand, media relations, developing EID-managed events, supporting events held in Downtown Evansville developed by other organizations, as well as fundraising for larger projects and programs the EID seeks to create.
