Indianapolis-based Dow AgroSciences LLC and TeselaGen Biotechnology Inc. in San Francisco are expanding a research collaboration. The companies say the new phase of the partnership ramps up work on a design platform designed to speed up discovery.
Dow Agro and TeselaGen say the current collaboration, which began in 2016, "yielded significant results" in developing a design platform which they say have helped scientists increase the flow of potential discovery leads tenfold. The expanded partnership will focus on a software module for industrial-scale cloning. The companies say the flexible model will have a strong emphasis on repeatability and machine learning.
Dow AgroSciences Research Fello Otto Folkerts says the ongoing project "will accelerate our scientists’ efforts to find new crop protection and seed products for farmers around the world."
The companies did not disclose specific terms of the collaboration.
