Subscribe NowDress for Success Indianapolis, a nonprofit organization that provides professional attire and career development tools for women, is asking area businesses for help. The organization is asking for donations of gently-used suits, blouses and financial contributions during Send One Suit Week.
The week-long event will take place April 17 to 22. The clothing donations will help more than 1,200 Indianapolis-area women with interview-appropriate attire.
Dress for Success Indianapolis says women who participate in the program are paired with a volunteer personal shopper to select an entire interview ensemble and provide interview tips as well. Women who are hired for a job can also come back to the program to find attire they need for work.
The organization says 55 businesses held donation drives last year. Any business that wants to participate this year has until April 11 to sign up online.
