The National Association of State Park Directors has elected Dan Bortner president. He serves as director of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Bortner assumed that role in 2005 and is the third longest-serving active state park director in the nation. He attended Indiana University, where he graduated with a B.S. in public affairs from the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
