$11M Apartment Development Moves Forward

Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report A Safe Haven will build the 75-unit facility and representatives say preliminary design work for the facility is done.
Brian Rowland, a co-founder of A Safe Haven, told the publication a groundbreaking could take place in August or September.
The complex will aim to support veterans who can’t afford to live independently. That can include homeless or disabled veterans.
The facility will also seek to help residents become self-sufficient and find employment. Completion of the apartments could happen as soon as early 2020.
