Developer Selected For River Ridge ‘Front Door’

The River Ridge Development Authority has selected Louisville-based Hollenbach-Oakley LLC to serve as master developer of an office park in the 6,000-acre property. Plans include a Class A office building in the gateway portion of the River Ridge Commerce Center near the new Lewis and Clark Bridge interchange. Officials say the office park will offer a different environment than the manufacturing and distribution-focused operations located throughout the rest of River Ridge. It will be geared toward potential corporate, academic, civic and research and development parties.
RRDA Executive Director Jerry Acy calls it "an exciting time in the history of River Ridge Commerce Center." He adds Hollenbach-Oakley has a portfolio of "beautifully developed office parks" that "speaks for itself" and helped the developer rise above other strong candidates.
The authority approved a resolution Monday that paves the way for negotiations with Hollenbach-Oakley. "This new phase is really going to set the stage for what this portion of the development can mean for this community," Acy said."“We look forward to the next several months as we work with Hollenbach-Oakley to lay the foundation in our evolution as a World Class Business Park."
