Developer Pulls Plug on $11 Million Project
A plan to build an $11 million luxury apartment complex in downtown Columbus has come to a halt. Our partners at The Republic report Sprague Co. has pulled out of the 40-unit project. The company says it did not receive adequate support from Mayor Kristen Brown.
The Republic reports Brown says she is behind the overall plan, but does not support the way it would have been funded.
Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) approved Sprague's proposal earlier this year. It would have been adjacent to one of the engine manufacturer's parking lots.
