Developer Plans to Tear Down Closed Sears Location

Subscribe NowA plan filed recently with the Fort Wayne Plan Commission would continue the Shoppes at Glenbrook Development Plan, calling for the former Sears building and auto center to be demolished. WPTA21 reports that a new retail building would be constructed, along with a freestanding Portillo’s restaurant.
New York-based Seritage SRC Finance LLC bought the former Sears building and auto center following The Sears at Glenbrook Square closing in November with bankruptcy issues.
The new retail building would be attached to the Glenbrook Square building. A public hearing for the proposed plan is set for March 11.
