The Republic reports the abatement would support Fishers-based developer RealAmerica Development LLC’s application for state tax credits, which would finance the majority of the project.
The development, known as Gladstone Apartments, would feature 60 units, from one to three bedrooms, with construction expected to begin next spring. The project is targeting people with annual incomes between $25,000 and $46,000, according to the publication.
Construction is expected to take about a year to complete. RealAmerica Development must also receive conditional use approval from the Columbus Board of Zoning Appeals, in addition to final approval on the tax abatement from the city council.
