Design Startup Set For Growth

A two-year-old Indianapolis architecture firm is planning to add 25 jobs by 2021. DELV Design Studio LLC says it will double its footprint at its current home in the Stutz Business Center.

The company says the new jobs, which include graduate architects, mid-level architects, project managers and interior designers, are expected to pay an average wage 50 percent higher that the state average. DELV is looking to expand its office space 1,200 square-feet as it works to grow its client base. The company currently has 55 clients and says it has completed more than 100 projects since its launch.

DELV says gross revenue jumped 81 percent from 2015 to 2016 and it anticipates gross revenue to double this year, compared to last.

Indiana Economic Development Corp. President Elaine Bedel says "we’re excited that DELV Design chose our state for this continued growth, and we look forward to more great news as we work to establish Indiana as a national hub for innovation." DELV has been offered at total of up to $280,000 in conditional tax credits and training grants.

Work to expand its space in the Stutz building is slated to begin in the spring.
