A Texas-based company has announced plans to expand its Indianapolis warehouse operation. LifeScience Logistics is pumping more than $1 million into growing its pharmaceutical and medical device distribution footprint. The company currently employs 80 in Indianapolis and could add 20 more in the next two years.
Chief Executive Officer Richard Beeny says the move is a response to increased demand for U.S. Food and Drug Administration-regulated space. "The growth we anticipated just 12 months ago has not only met our expectations but exceeded them," he said. "We anticipate this demand will continue and are continuing to discuss ways to better serve existing and future customer demand."
LSL currently has 200,000 square-feet in Indianapolis and it will add 132,000 square-feet, which includes cold storage space.
The company is headquartered in Dallas. In addition to its Texas and Indy operations, it has facilities in Atlanta and Baltimore. The expanded space is expected to open in October.
