Illinois-based Plumbing Manufacturers International has named Paul Patton of Carmel-based Delta Faucet Co. its 2016 board president. Patton is senior research, development and regulatory manager at Delta.
PMI is a voluntary, nonprofit association that advocates for plumbing product performance and "innovation contributing to water savings, sustainability, public health and safety, and consumer satisfaction." The organization says its member companies produce about 90 percent of the nation’s plumbing products.
"We are fortunate to have such an experienced, dedicated and innovative leader as president," said Barbara C. Higgens, CEO and executive director of PMI. "As a tremendously active board member, Paul has shown great leadership and we look forward to what he will accomplish during his term as PMI president."
Patton has 35 years of experience in the plumbing industry and has been involved with PMI for 11 years. Delta has been a member of PMI for 45 years.
"PMI is vital to the plumbing industry and I’m honored to accept such a pivotal role on its board this year," said Patton. "This association actively shapes our industry and with continued innovation, evolving applications and valuable consumer insights from Delta Faucet and other PMI members, I feel confident about what the future holds for plumbing."
Patton will serve a one-year term, which is standard for the position.
