DEFENDERS, a leading provider of residential security services, has promoted Richard Thomas Hill to chief marketing officer. He has more than 25 years of consumer marketing experience. Prior to joining DEFENDERS in 2014, Hill served 11 years as managing director at Tribune Co. In that role, he was responsible for creating one of the nation’s fastest-growing direct response agencies serving clients in the telecommunications, retail and insurance industries. Prior to Tribune, Hill held senior marketing leadership positions at News Corp. and Liberty Media. He will now be responsible for driving DEFENDERS’ demand-generation and customer acquisition growth in support of the company’s strategic plan. As a member of the DEFENDERS executive team, Hill will work closely with cross functional leaders to drive understanding and alignment of the company marketing strategy and deliver results. He is active in the nonprofit community having served on boards supporting Gladney Center For Adoption and Boys and Girls Clubs.
