DCS Appoints Regional Manager

The Department of Child Services has appointed Erin Shidler manager of region 3. In this role she will provide broad oversight and supervision for the Region 3 area, which includes Elkhart, Kosciusko, Marshall and St. Joseph counties. Also, Shidler will serve as a field representative to the DCS’ central office in Indianapolis and communicate local office needs. She began her DCS career in 2003 as a family case manager in Jay County. Shidler was then transferred to Noble County as an FCM and shortly after was promoted to FCM supervisor in Kosciusko County. 

She most recently served as local office director of Kosciusko County. Shidler graduated from Ball State with a bachelor of science degree in sociology and geography with an emphasis on meteorology. She also earned her master of arts in sociology from Ball State.
