A Zionsville-based data science company is planning to expand operations and grow its staff by adding three dozen new positions. Vertex Intelligence Services LLC says it will invest approximately $270,000 in response to increasing demand for its professional services and cloud-based data analysis products.

Founded in 2018, the company develops artificial intelligence products.

Vertex says it is currently leasing space at zWORKS coworking center and looking for a more permanent home in Zionsville to grow the business.

“Indiana has a strong and highly diversified economy filled with the types of companies that stand to benefit the most from AI technology and who recognize the value of innovation,” said Tyler Foxworthy, founder and chief executive officer of Vertex Intelligence.

Vertex Intelligence employs five associates in Indiana and plans to add up to 37 new jobs by the end of 2024.

The Boone County company provides services like data and AI strategy, statistical modeling and cloud-based data analysis solutions.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered the company up to $650,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $50,000 in conditional training grants based on the company’s job creation plans.
