Daniels, Leck Among 2016 ‘Living Legends’
The Indiana Historical Society has named its annual class of Indiana Living Legends. The five recipients include Purdue President Mitch Daniels and Indianapolis Children’s Choir founding director Henry Leck.
The other three Indiana Living Legends for 2016 are State Historian James Madison, Central Indiana Community Foundation Chief Executive Officer Brian Payne and former Indianapolis-based Long Electric Co. Inc. CEO Yvonne Shaheen.
Winners are chosen by a committee of civic and corporate leaders. Each will be recognized during the IHS annual Indiana Living Legends Gala, which will be July 22 at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center in downtown Indianapolis.
