BS&A Software, a municipal enterprise resource planning (ERP) software company headquartered in Michigan, is adding to its portfolio with the acquisition of Daleville-based Boyce Systems. Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
Founded more than 125 years ago, Boyce Systems provides financial management, payroll, and utility billing software to Indiana municipalities and schools, as well as administrative services through its Keystone platform.
BS&A said Boyce’s 1,200 Keystone customers will now have access to its own ERP platform designed to provide enhanced security, compliance and operational efficiency.
“For years, we have been dedicated to providing innovative solutions for local governments and schools,” said Jason Harrington, CEO of Boyce Systems. “Partnering with BS&A allows us to accelerate that vision and provide our municipal customers with a proven, modern cloud solution, ensuring their long-term success.”
BS&A said with the acquisition, it will now serve more than 2,900 municipalities and 3,500 total customers. CEO Chad Harryman called the acquisition an exciting milestone for both companies.
“Boyce has built an incredible reputation for its deep customer relationships, and its commitment to public sector organizations aligns perfectly with our values and mission to empower local governments and their communities to thrive,” he said. “By joining forces, we can help municipalities modernize their operations while maintaining the best-in-class service and support that Boyce customers have come to expect.”
Boyce Systems has 94 employees, and a spokesperson told Inside INdiana Business that the vast majority of the company’s local team will be unaffected. BS&A said it plans to maintain a “strong office presence” in Indiana.
“Boyce will continue to support Indiana schools with no changes to its current school product offerings, while maintaining its commitment to ongoing enhancements and improvements,” the spokesperson said.
The acquisition brings BS&A’s total employee headcount to 359.
