Dalai Lama, Lady Gaga to Speak in Indy

The Dalai Lama and Grammy-winning musician Lady Gaga will take part in a question-and-answer session this weekend as part of the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Indianapolis. The panel, which will be moderated by NBC’s Ann Curry, will take place Sunday following the Dalai Lama’s keynote remarks to the conference.
The conference says the Dalai Lama’s remarks will focus on "the global significance of building kind and compassionate cities through action at the local level." The Q&A panel that follows will also feature businessman and philanthropist Philip Anschutz.
The panel discussion will not be open to the public. The Dalai Lama is already scheduled to give a speech Saturday morning at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. It is the second trip to Indy in less than a month for Lady Gaga, who appeared at the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.
