CuroGens Signs Agreement With Indian State

Carmel-based CuroGens has entered into an agreement with officials from Telangana, India. Chief Executive Officer Jesper Kehlet and Arvind Kumar, principal secretary of industries and commerce for Telangana, signed an official memorandum of understanding to explore economic development opportunities in the Indian state.
CuroGens says the agreement signifies both parties’ intention to explore investment opportunities and collaborate on improving business practices in Telangana. Both will also work to further the relationship between Indianapolis and Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana.
"This partnership allows us to pinpoint mutual goals that will uncover new opportunities and fuel growth," said Kehlet. "We couldn’t be more pleased to be working directly with the government of Telangana."
CuroGens currently employs nearly 20 people at its office in Hyderabad and expects that number to double by 2017. CuroGens says special economic zones that are dedicated to information technology have encouraged companies to establish operations in the city.
