Columbus-based Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) will break ground on its $30 million Indianapolis distribution business headquarters this week. Cummins executives and Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard are scheduled to attend Thursday's ceremony.

WHERE: Future site of Cummins Indy Distribution Headquarters

New Jersey and Market Streets, across from City Market

WHEN: Thursday, April 9 at 10 a.m.

DETAILS: Cummins along with elected officials and project partners will officially break ground on its global Distribution Business headquarters in downtown Indianapolis.

The distinctive office tower will feature a progressive look reflecting Cummins’ technological focus, with abundant natural light and a collaborative work environment. The tower will also include retail on the first floor and plentiful green space around the property. The Company expects the building, which will occupy four acres where Market Square Arena previously stood, to open in late 2016.
