Columbus-based Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) has promoted Mark Osowick to Vice President – Human Resources Operations. He has been with the company since 1993 in various positions.

Columbus, Ind. — Today, Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) named Mark Osowick Vice President – Human Resources Operations. In this role, Osowick also becomes an officer of the Company.

“Mark has vast experience in the human resources function and has proven himself over the years as a capable leader who delivers great results every time,” said Jill Cook, Vice President, Human Resources. “He is a team player and strong leader and will help as we continue to create the best work environment that supports our employees.”

In his new role, Osowick will manage a team that focuses on day to day operations for the human resources function across Cummins' four business units.

Osowick has been with Cummins since 1993 and has held various HR positions within the company. Most recently, Osowick was Executive Director – Components Business. Prior to that he led the talent management function of the Company where he helped define Cummins’ corporate strategies for recruitment, leadership and organizational development.

Osowick also served as Executive Director – Human Resources for the Engine Business. In that role, he led the Company’s largest business in the development of an organizational and people strategy that supports the business’ long term strategies. Osowick has also served various other roles in the human resources function during his career with Cummins, delivering successful results in each.

Osowick received his Masters in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 1991 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1989 from Franklin and Marshall College.
