Amy Boerger has been appointed vice president of the North American engine business at Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI). Boerger has served in several leadership roles at the Columbus-based company.

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced that Amy Boerger has been appointed Vice President – North American Engine Business, effective April 1.

Boerger brings more than thirty years of experience in sales and service, OEM account management, as well as leadership roles in Cummins Emissions Solutions and the Cummins Engine Business Unit. Most recently, she has been serving as Executive Director – North American Engine Business. In this position, Boerger was an integral part of the Heavy-Duty, Mid-Range and Light-Duty (HMLD) engine business leadership team and led all aspects of the annual sales and support for nearly 250,000 HMLD engines.

As Vice President, Amy will continue her overall leadership for Engine Business Interests in North America, including in North American Field Sales and Support and Central National Account teams, as well as the Truck, Bus and Industrial OEM teams.

“Amy continuously leads by example whether she is managing customer relationships or solving complex customer problems and we look forward to her increased leadership role,” said Srikanth Padmanabhan, Vice President, HMLD Business, Cummins Inc. “She is highly respected both inside and outside of Cummins and her energy and experience will help drive us forward.”

Boerger recently earned the distinction of Finalist for the 2014 Most Influential Woman of the Year in Trucking. She actively participates in Act One, the Allied Committee for the Trucking Industry, which seeks to enhance the industry’s business environment through relationship building and the exchange of innovative ideas. Boerger also serves on the American Transportation Research Institute’s Research Advisory Committee.

Boerger earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University in 1984.

Boerger and her husband, Brad, reside in the Columbus, Indiana area.
