A marketing agency in Indianapolis is crediting its continued growth to a combination of factors that includes a foundation of analytics-based services. In this month’s Culture Matters segment, FirstPerson Chief Executive Officer Bryan Brenner says Element Three, which was founded in 2005 and now employs 70, has used a "unique approach" to become one of the largest agencies of its kind in the state. In an interview on Inside INdiana Business Television, Brenner discussed some of the company’s cultural features including a symbolic elephant mascot and "awesome blocks."
"Elephants are one of the only mammals, groups, herds that are led by the female — the matriarch — and (Chief Executive Officer) Tiffany (Sauder) is that. She’s a very strong leader and people follow her," Brenner said. "Awesome blocks are this idea that when I want to spiff somebody or thank them, I hand them a LEGO and they get to build this construct that’s created on their desk that sits there everyday and the bigger it gets the more it gets noticed."
With regard to the company’s culture, Brenner says "we’re finding with any company that does this well, they’ve got a plan, they’ve got a strategy, they know exactly what they’re doing and why. Element Three is a great example."
