Crossroads YMCA has appointed Jay Buckmaster as chief executive officer. Crossroads covers branches in Crown Point, Griffith, Hammond and Whiting.

Buckmaster has over 20 years experience with the YMCA. He most recently served as CEO/President of Grand Traverse Bay YMCA in Michigan since 2014. He previously held leadership positions at the Tampa Metro YMCA and Greater Wichita YMCA.

Buckmaster will oversee all the Crossroads branches, including multi-million dollar construction projects at their Southlake Y and Hammond locations. He will begin his duties on September 24.
