Subscribe NowNaval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division has signed an agreement with the Ohio Aerospace Institute. It aims to promote cooperative activities between NSWC Crane and the state of Ohio, along with small businesses and educational institutions served by the OAI.
OAI Senior Program Manager Howard Thompson, who will be responsible for the coordination of activities for the parties involved, said "The services provided by OAI are intended to bring together federal lab resources with industry leaders, academia and innovative end users and customers in an open and collaborative environment. OAI’s mission is to enhance our partners’ aerospace competitiveness through research and technology development, workforce preparedness and engagement with global networks for innovation and advocacy."
NSWC Crane Commanding Officer Capt. Jeffrey Elder said the agreement allows for research and discovery of advanced technology initiatives. It’s the latest partnership for NSWC Crane, which has entered into previous parnterships with the Battery Innovation Group, Indiana University, and Purdue University, among others.
