A new coworking space will officially open Thursday in downtown Princeton. The Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana says officials will cut the ribbon on The Hub 127, which is one of 18 projects from the Regional Cities Initiative plan for the region.

The 6,700-square-foot space is being managed by the Gibson County Economic Development Corp. and aims to serve as a talent attracting amenity for the county. The facility features singular workspaces, as well as board and conference rooms.

"The Hub 127 co-working space is a transformational project for Gibson County and its surrounding areas, combining the best elements of the Regional Cities Initiative and southwest Indiana’s growing entrepreneurial culture," said Elaine Bedel, president of the Indiana Economic Development Corp. "By adding a collaborative space for local entrepreneurs to work together, network and foster innovative ideas, the region is gaining a major amenity that will not only attract and retain talent, but also contribute to the growth and vibrancy of downtown Princeton."

GCEDC Chief Executive Officer Paul Waters says The Hub 127 will help grow the entrepreneurial community by creating a network of connections and collaboration in the area.
