Country Star George Strait to Perform at Notre Dame Country Hall of Famer George Strait to perform in South Bend.

One of the biggest names in country music will be performing this summer at Notre Dame Stadium, becoming the third headliner to appear at the storied football stadium in the past two years.

The university has announced George Strait will perform August 15 in South Bend.  Tickets go on sale March 6 through Ticketmaster.

Strait retired from traditional touring, but he still performs at select cities.

He will be joined by special guests Chris Stapleton and Brothers Osborne. During his 30-plus-year-career, the country crooner has had 60 singles hit the top of the charts.

Strait is the latest high-profile musical artist to perform at the football stadium.

In June, Billy Joel will perform at Notre Dame. In December 2018, country star Garth Brooks performed before a sold-out crowd.
