Auburn, Ind. — A partnership of four area county economic development organizations will be conducting a wage and benefits survey of private-sector area employers. This is an update to the 2013 four county survey conducted by the DeKalb County Economic Development Partnership, the LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation, the Noble County Economic Development Corporation, and the Steuben County Economic Development Corporation.
The wage and benefit survey completed in DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble and Steuben counties is a win-win. Participating companies receive important information about the general labor market. This survey also benefits companies that are looking to expand or locate in Northeast Indiana. “The first year was very successful and there is no reason to believe that trend won't continue. If you are an employer in one of the four counties and are interested in participating, contact your local economic development office.” – Dave Koenig, Executive Director for the Steuben County Economic Development Corporation
The survey will be conducted entirely online and companies will be assigned a unique code to access the survey. Each local economic development organization will be reaching out to companies in their county to explain more about the survey and encourage participation as well as answer any questions that may arise. The survey website at www.wagesbenefitssurvey.com will be open from March 17th through May 2nd. The goal is to make the results available to participants by the end of May.
“Last year, nearly 90 companies participated in the Wage and Benefits Survey,” said Ken McCrory, Executive Director of the DeKalb County Economic Development Partnership. He stressed that, “The survey is to help companies recruit talent and to be more competitive, the participant’s information is kept confidential.”
The 2014 Wage and Benefits Survey is partially underwritten by: Indiana and Michigan Power, Wabash Valley Power, Northern Indiana Public Service Company, the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, the Northeast Indiana Works, and the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana.
