The Palladium-Item in Richmond reports Wayne and Union counties are now on-board with the proposal that could include four others. Henry, Randolph, Fayette and Rush counties are the others in consideration.
If formed, the organization would fill the void left by the now-defunct Eastern Indiana Development District.
The new organization is being set up to allow auditing oversite by the State Board of Accounts.
