The Fort Wayne City Council has approved tax abatement for several companies planning to expand. The Journal Gazette reports the four businesses are looking to create more than two dozen jobs. The companies receiving the approval are Midwest Salt of Fort Wayne LLC, GCG Industries Inc., Vermeer of Indiana Inc. and AccuTemp Products Inc.

Vermeer's plans include a $500,000 investment to upgrade equipment.

AccuTemp intends to pump nearly the same amount into its expansion, which could add 14 jobs at two operations in the city.
