A Fort Wayne stamping die manufacturer's $4.8 million expansion plans are moving forward. The city council has approved tax abatement for LH Carbide Corp., which is looking to improve its facilities and add nearly 20 workers. The company also says the investment will help retain 79 current workers.

LH Carbide says the new workers would be paid nearly $67,000 per year on average.

L.H. Industries Corp. is based in Fort Wayne and also has stamping, controls and medical operations in the Allen County City.
