Cook Group Promotes Exec

Subscribe NowBloomington-based Cook Group has promoted Barry Slowey to president of Cook Endoscopy/Cook Winston-Salem. He joined Cook in 1996, most recently serving as vice president for the endoscopy clinical division.
Slowey was hired by Cook as the European marketing manager for its facility in Ireland. He specialized in endoscopy there, eventually becoming European sales and marketing manager. He moved to Winston-Salem in 2002 and became global sales director for the endoscopy clinical division before being promoted to vice president.
In a release from Cook, Slowey said, "My goal is to provide clear direction and vision for our Endoscopy business. We hope—through excellence in operations, quality, innovation and customer service—that we continue to be the ideal partner for endoscopists globally while creating opportunity and stability for our employees as we strive to make a difference in patients’ lives."
