Cook Medical and Cook Group President Pete Yonkman says "business is constantly changing and we want to provide our current and future employees the opportunity to evolve with us. We recently redesigned our education assistance program to eliminate financial barriers so employees can increase their education and career opportunities with company support."
The medical device manufacturer is working with Ivy Tech through its Achieve Your Degree efforts on certifications in areas including biotechnology, business administration, hospitality and multiple computing and informatics-related tracks, as well as continuing toward new or unfinished associate degrees.
Yonkman says the partnerships are about more than creating job and advancement opportunities. "Making education accessible and attainable provides stability for Cook employees and their families which can lead to career growth within the organization.
