An Indiana-based petroleum distributor and convenience store operator has acquired a similar business in Ohio.
Jay Petroleum Inc, which is based in the Jay County city of Portland, says it has purchased a majority of the assets of Ottawa Oil Co., which is located in Ottawa, Ohio.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Jay Petroleum owns and operates 35 Pak-A-Sak convenience stores in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.
The purchase of the Ottawa assets includes fuel transportation, dealer sites and 22 Party Mart convenience stores.
Jay Petroleum and Ottawa Oil were both founded in 1959 as fuel distributors. But in the 1980s, each entered into the convenience store business.
