Controller Named For Lake City Bank

Warsaw-based Lakeland Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: LKFN) has named Sarah Earls senior vice president and controller of Lake City Bank. Earls, who will also serve as principal accounting officer for the bank, most recently served as director of finance and compliance for Columbia City-based Micropulse Inc. 

She is also the former controller of Tower Financial Corp. in Fort Wayne. 

"(Earls’) public company experience as a controller and her background in public accounting will deepen our expertise in this area," said David Findlay, chief executive officer of Lakeland Financial. "As important, Sarah represents a great cultural fit and will be a strong leader for our accounting and finance staff."

Earls is a graduate of Huntington University. Chief Financial Officer Lisa O’Neill says Earls’ skills will be valuable for the bank as she "enhances the strategic role of the accounting department."
