Construction to Begin on Plainfield Assisted Living Facility

Subscribe NowIllinois-based Gardant Management Solutions will this afternoon break ground on a 104,000-square-foot assisted living community in Plainfield. Financial details of Glasswater Creek of Plainfield were not disclosed. The four-story facility is expected to be complete by the fall of 2019.
The facility will feature 131 private studio and one-bedroom apartments for seniors in the community who need help to maintain their independence. The development will also feature a cafe, private dining room, lounges, a fitness center, theater, physical therapy room, and a library/computer room, among other amenities.
Gardant says the multi-million-dollar facility will also have certified nursing assistants on duty 24 hours a day, under the direction of a licensed nurse. When complete, Glasswater Creek of Plainfield is expected to create nearly 70 full-time and part-time jobs with annual payroll and benefits totaling more than $2 million.
The project is being developed by Glasswater Creek of Plainfield LLC and the facility will be managed by Gardant. A similar Glasswater Creek community opened earlier this summer in Lafayette. Gardant Management Solutions also opened a similar assisted living facility in Indianapolis in January.
