The four-story, $12.2 million Hampton Inn, which is being built near the Westfield Business District and Grand Park, is scheduled to be complete in the spring of 2017.
The project is a joint venture between South Bend-based Holladay Properties and Indianapolis-based Schahet Hotels Inc. Holladay is leading the design and development of the hotel and SHI will manage it upon completion.
"The new US 31 project combined with the success of Grand Park has transformed Westfield’s economic structure," said Westfield Mayor Andy Cook. "Last year there were nearly 62,000 hotel room nights booked in central Indiana because of Grand Park. Developments like this Hampton Inn will be able to keep some of those visitor dollars in Westfield."
The hotel will include 93 guest rooms, an outdoor patio with a fire pit and an indoor swimming pool. Chris Wilkes, partner and senior vice president of Holladay, said the hotel will benefit from the "significant travel and tourism activity generated by Grand Park."
