Conexus Indiana has appointed three new members to its board of directors. They include an executive with Columbus-based Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) and a senior vice president at Purdue University.

Indianapolis, Ind. — Conexus Indiana is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to the Conexus Indiana Board of Directors. Andrew F. Brooks, Julie K. Griffith and Stan Woszczynski join the 11-member board, which is comprised of statewide representatives from industry and academia who guide Conexus Indiana in its mission to strengthen Indiana's position as an advanced manufacturing and logistics leader.

“As Indiana's advanced manufacturing and logistics initiative, Conexus Indiana has benefited from its inception by the strong governance and leadership of some of our state's most experienced and insightful leaders in education, government and business. These three individuals continue in that tradition,” said Conexus Indiana President and CEO Steven Dwyer. “Andrew, Julie and Stan are impressive additions to our board and will continue to provide insight from their regions in Northeast, North Central and South Central Indiana.”

Brooks, president of Fort Wayne-based Brooks Construction Co. Inc., has been an active contributor to Conexus Indiana as a member of the Conexus Indiana Logistics Council and as chairman of the Northeast Logistics Council, which addresses priority projects and public policy issues that impact a 13-county region.

He is in a second term as a member of the Build Indiana Council (BIC PAC), and is chair of the BIC PAC, where he was a founding member. He also is active on the board of the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana and formerly was a board member of the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce. He is past president of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance, and a board member of the Junior Achievement Foundation, the Fort Wayne Community Foundation and the AWS Foundation.

Griffith is vice president for public affairs at Purdue University. She is the fourth Purdue representative to be named to the Conexus Indiana Board of Directors.

In her position at Purdue University, Griffith oversees the Office of Engagement, Technical Assistance Program, Purdue Healthcare Advisors, Purdue Center for Regional Development, Governmental Relations, Community Relations, Marketing and Media, Trademarks and Licensing, and Purdue's radio station, WBAA.

She previously was vice president of government affairs and foundation relations at Duke Energy, and has an extensive background in marketing, business development, and government and regulatory affairs.

Griffith also serves on the boards of the International Center, American Lung Association, Community Action of Greater Indianapolis, Connect2Help, Indiana Societies of both Washington D.C. and Chicago, the Dean's advisory council for Ball State University's College of Science and Humanities, and Council of Advisors.

Woszczynski, Cummins vice president – chief manufacturing officer, oversees manufacturing strategy, manufacturing operational and functional excellence, health and safety, environmental, advanced manufacturing, and manufacturing engineering and manufacturing systems. He continues a strong history of executive leadership on the Conexus Indiana Board of Directors, including leadership from Cummins' Joe Loughrey, who was a founding board member of Conexus Indiana.

Since joining Cummins in 1988, Stan has held positions of increasing leadership, including business manager, plant manager, vice president – midrange manufacturing, and vice president – supply chain and manufacturing – HMLD.

Woszczynski is a founding member of the Manufacturing Leadership Board of the Associations Corporate Executive Board consortium, and is an active director for the Komatsu Cummins Engine Company, the Indiana Automotive Council, and the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Varsity “R” Club.
