Two manufacturers are planning to expand in Kendallville. The News Sun reports Ashley Industrial Molding Inc. and Hendrickson Truck Suspension could create a combined two dozen jobs. Ashley Industrial Molding is looking to invest over $2 million add a paint line, a new crane and 15 workers. Construction on a plant expansion could begin next month. It has a pair of tax abatement requests pending.

The company is based in Ashley and also has operations in Iowa and South America.

Hendrickson Truck Suspension is seeking tax abatement on nearly $2 million in improvements to its facility in the Noble County city. The proposed expansion could create nine jobs.

The publication reports the Kendallville City Council could weigh the tax abatement requests April 1st.
