(NYSE: KR), Elanco and Rose Acre Farms are spreading the word about a new program that will help improve food security in local communities. HATCH for Hunger provides eggs to families in need. When shoppers buy a dozen Kroger-branded medium eggs, HATCH will donate one egg to the local food banks.
Elanco officials say long term, they would like to do this across the country, but right now they are just starting in central Indiana.
