The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne is set to detail a $2 million donation from Indianapolis-based Lilly Endowment Inc. During a news conference Tuesday, the nonprofit says it will also announce a new initiative. March 2, 2015

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne will hold a press conference on Tuesday, March 3, at 1:30 p.m. to announce a $2 million dollar matching gift from Lilly Endowment Inc. for donations to our Community Grantmaking Fund, as well as another initiative which will be announced at the press conference. This event will be held at the Community Foundation, 555 E. Wayne St., Fort Wayne, IN 46802.

Established in 1922, the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne is a public, charitable foundation serving Allen County for ninety-two years. The Community Foundation had assets of more than $143 million as of December 31, 2014, and awarded $4.9 million in charitable grants and scholarships in that year. The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne exists to serve as a community leader to improve the quality of life by building permanent endowments, promoting effective grantmaking, fostering philanthropy, stimulating community dialogue, and helping donors achieve their charitable goals.
