Communities Receive ‘Drug-Free’ Grant Funding

Subscribe NowA half-dozen Hoosier communities have been awarded funding from a federal program designed to fight drug use among children. The $86 million Drug-Free Communities Support initiative provides grants to private, nonprofit and public organizations throughout the country.
The new grantees from Indiana are:
- LaPorte County Drug Free Partnership in Michigan City
- Geminus Corp./ Lake County Substance Abuse Council in Merrillville
- Shelby County Drug Free Coalition
- Greensburg Prevention Group
- Gary Neighborhood Services Inc./ Community Organizations for Families and Youth (COFFY)
