Communities Land $11M in Federal Grants
The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs has awarded nearly $11 million in federal grants to 23 Indiana communities. The funding covers five program categories, including blight clearance, main street revitalization, public facilities, stormwater improvement and wastewater drinking water.
The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant program. OCRA says the goal of the grants is to ensure health and safety and improve quality of life for residents.

Blight Clearance Program
- Lawrence County – $230,000
- Town of Wolcott – $160,494
Main Street Revitalization Program
- City of Sullivan – $500,000
- Town of Fairmount – $500,000
Public Facilities Program
- Noble County – $500,000
- Town of Glenwood – $500,000
- Henry County – $500,000
- Crawford County – $324,000
Stormwater Improvement Program
- Town of Hebron – $500,000
- Town of Shoals – $500,000
- Town of Dugger – $300,000
- Town of Oxford – $500,000
Wastewater Drinking Water Program
- Switzerland County – $700,000
- City of Peru – $550,000
- Town of Royal Center – $500,000
- Town of Silver Lake – $500,000
- Town of South Whitley – $550,000
- City of Attica – $550,000
- City of Rensselaer – $550,000
