Kentucky-based Commonwealth Hotels has named Phil Klaus general manager and Tammy Bass director of sales for its new Indianapolis downtown TownePlace Suites.

Klaus has served in a variety of roles with the company since 2008. This is his first Marriott property since he managed the Courtyard Cincinnati Airport in 2017-2018.

Bass most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing for Indianapolis-based Blue Ridge Partners.  

The hotel is located less than 2 blocks from Lucas Oil Stadium and a half-mile away from the Indiana Convention Center. It is scheduled to open later this year.
