The Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and the Purdue College of Agriculture have selected the steering committee tasked with designing a joint agricultural law program. The schools announced plans for the program in October and have named 11 members to the committee.
The committee will work to ensure the program meets the needs of the agricultural law market and appeals to a wide student base, according to the schools. Members will also provide input on the program’s curriculum, as well as experiential and capstone learning opportunities and the program’s overall promotion.
"Over the past several months, we’ve been working hard to survey the landscape of food and agricultural law programs and to assemble our steering committee," said Amy Cornell, director of the agricultural law program. "Each person on the committee was chosen for their specific skill set and perspective on agricultural law. I am thrilled that they have agreed to share their time and talents to develop this very exciting program."
The members of the steering committee include:

The committee has already begun its work and has a goal of launching the program in 2019.
