LLC this week. The company is planning to boost its manufacturing and research operations and add more than 150 jobs over the next four years.
If the commission grants preliminary approval to the project Wednesday, it will hold a final hearing at its April 6th meeting.
Schlage, which is a subsidiary of Ireland-based Allegion plc (NYSE: ALLE), plans to invest more than $13 million into its Marion County operations. The company has more than 500 employees at its facilities on the county’s east and northeast sides. The company says most of the new positions will be in manufacturing, assembly and management, with additional openings in research and development.
Allegion announced more than two years ago that it would bring its North American headquarters to Carmel in a move involving 100 new jobs.
